Maria Ward mobilisiert ganz Freudenhain
Für den großen Maria-Ward-Gedenktag am 26. Januar, der in diesem Jahr unter dem Motto „Wenn du das Gute tust, dann tue es gut“ stand, hatte Religionslehrer Bernhard Haberl viele Referent/-innen ans Auersperg-Gymnasium eingeladen, um mit Klassen in der Schule in verschiedensten Bereichen zu arbeiten.
Einer der Höhepunkte des Tages war sicher der Besuch von Schwester Mercy Shumbamhini CJ aus Simbabwe, die in Begleitung von Schwester Gracia CJ aus Pasing an die Schule kam, beide Mitglieder der Congregatio Jesu, so wie der Maria-Ward-Orden heute heißt. Zustande gekommen war der Kontakt durch Religionslehrerin Eva-Maria Eichinger, die 2018 Sister Mercy Shumbamhini CJ im Maria Ward Kinderheim in Amaveni (Simbabwe) kennengelernt hat. Schwester Mercy freute sich sehr über einen Spendenscheck über 500 Euro, den sie gerne für ihre Maria-Ward-Schulen, Krankenstationen und das Kinderheim in Simbabwe entgegennahm.
